GATHER IN FAITH
Pray With Us

Congregation of Israel
Prayer—tefillah—invites us to turn inward toward the G-d within us. At Congregation of Israel, Jewish Science and Applied Judaism guide our approach to prayer as a practice of spiritual awareness, gratitude, and trust. We seek to recognize the Divine presence and express its goodness through the way we live.
Whether you are familiar with Jewish prayer or entering a synagogue for the first time, you are welcome. Bring your gratitude, your questions, and whatever is on your heart.
TIMELESS JEWISH PRAYER
Jewish Science and Affirmative Prayer

Jewish Science emphasizes meditation, affirmation, and visualization as ways to deepen our awareness of G‑d’s presence within and around us. Affirmative prayer gives voice to our trust in Divine goodness and helps us cultivate peace, courage, wisdom, and compassion.
Drawing inspiration from Torah and the Psalms, we affirm the spiritual qualities we seek to express. We can acknowledge our difficulties honestly while drawing strength from the G-d within us. Prayer offers room for gratitude, hope, and renewal amid the realities of everyday life.
A simple affirmation for personal reflection is: “G‑d’s presence is within me. I meet this moment with wisdom, courage, and lovingkindness.”

PRAYING TOGETHER
Meditation and Inner Awareness

In stillness, we make room to listen inwardly. Meditation invites us to quiet distractions and become attentive to our connection with G‑d. Visualization supports this reflection as we picture ourselves living the qualities we affirm—responding patiently, acting courageously, and treating others with compassion.
TIMELESS JEWISH PRAYER
Jewish Prayer With Intention

The Shema affirms the oneness of G‑d. The Amidah gives voice to praise, petition, and gratitude. Shabbat offers space to pause and renew our spirits. We approach these prayers with kavanah—focused intention—so that the words we speak and hear become opportunities for understanding and connection. Spoken prayer and quiet reflection each offer a way to participate.

PRAYING TOGETHER
Applied Judaism in Daily Life

Applied Judaism encourages us to live what we affirm. Prayer becomes a practice we carry beyond the synagogue: pausing before we react, recognizing our blessings, and making choices guided by lovingkindness and justice. The peace we cultivate inwardly finds expression in our relationships and our care for others.
TIMELESS JEWISH PRAYER
Gather in Community

Together, we celebrate blessings, support one another through challenges, and honor the memory of loved ones. Join in the prayers, listen, or sit quietly in reflection. You are welcome to participate in the ways that feel comfortable to you.
